BELLEVUE, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a mother and three children died and another adult was injured in a duplex fire in western Pennsylvania.

Officials in Allegheny County say the blaze was reported just after 9:30 p.m. Friday in the Pittsburgh suburb of Bellevue.

Bellevue fire chief Glenn Pritchard said arriving crews found “heavy fire” coming out of the left side of the duplex and were able to pull five victims from the home.

The medical examiner’s office said 38-year-old Angela Lasch was pronounced dead along with her 11-year-old son Noah and two daughters, 6-year-old Kayley and 4-year-old Hannah.

Officials said two people living on the other side of the duplex were able to escape.

The county fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.
