Family and friends of a Washington man shot and killed during a confrontation at a Port Authority of Allegheny County busway in Wilkinsburg earlier this year joined others at a rally in Pittsburgh Saturday as part of a fight against police brutality and corruption. Bruce Kelley Jr., 37, was shot and killed Jan. 31, reportedly by a Port Authority police officer. The Alliance for Police Accountability organized the rally held at the Wood Street T-Station before moving to the front of PNC Park. Kelley’s mother, Johnnie Mae Kelley, shown, of Washington, and his aunt, Bessie King, also of Washington, were among the 150 supporters of the cause. They also called for the removal of Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala from office.
