Who are these wheel dealers?
This photo turned up in the Observer-Reporter’s archives with no identifying information. There is a stamp on the back of the print noting it was a copy produced by the newspaper’s photo department, meaning it was not taken by a staff photographer and may not have appeared in the newspaper.
So, we’re wondering if our readers can help identify who these three people are, where and when the picture was taken and what the occasion was.
Although the names of the men are not visible on their name tags, the acronym of their organization – the National Auto Dealers Association – clearly is. NADA was formed in 1917 to represent the interests of new car and truck dealers to the public, media, Congress and vehicle manufacturers.
If you think you know who the men and woman are, or anything about the circumstances of this week’s Mystery Photo, email Park Burroughs, retired executive editor, at pburroughs@observer-reporter.com, or call and leave a message for him along with your telephone number at 724-222-2200, extension 2400. With a little luck, we may be able to solve this puzzle and publish our findings next Monday.
