A collection of electronic items will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Greene County Fairgrounds. Computers, printers, televisions, monitors and other items will be accepted free. There will be a $1 charge for each fluorescent bulb; $15 charge for items with Freon; and $50 charge for any “disassembled” cathode ray television. Cathode ray televisions that were not disassembled will be accepted for free.
A country music concert will be held at New Freeport fire hall from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Cash Review and Mark Austin will perform. The ladies auxiliary is sponsoring the concert.
John Beluschak’s American Judo-Hapkido Institute of Morgantown, W.Va., is hosting a women’s personal safety and awareness seminar at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at 1600 E. High St. in Morrisville. Tickets are $20 and available online at ajhi.ticketleap.com/wpsas.
A special “Paint & Pop” event to celebrate Mother’s Day will raise money for Cornerstone Care’s Smile for Life Oral Health Outreach. The event, hosted by Cornerstone Care, will be held from noon to 3 p.m. April 30 at First Baptist Church Social Hall in Waynesburg. The children’s schedule includes painting from noon to 1 p.m. followed by designing special Mother’s Day cards from 1 to 3 p.m. The adults will paint from 1 to 3 p.m. Pop and snacks, as well as paints and supplies, will be provided.
