A Morgan Township man was arrested Friday by state police and charged with producing child pornography.

Eric J. Stull, 47, is accused of possessing and distributing child pornography online while also producing it with at least one victim going back to 2008, according to state police Cpl. John Roche of the department’s Computer Crime Unit.

Stull was arraigned Friday afternoon by District Judge Lee Watson on two counts each of felony charges of filming a child engaged in a sex act, disseminating child sex acts, child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility. He also faces two misdemeanor charges of disseminating explicit material, according to court documents.

Roche said they “detected him distributing child pornography” using a file-sharing network in 2015 and investigators used that information to obtain a search warrant to enter his Teagarden Homes residence Friday morning. Police then performed a forensic investigation of electronic devices and learned he was allegedly manufacturing child pornography as well, Roche said.

“There’s certainly one victim, but additional charges will be filed,” Roche said, adding investigators think there may be more victims.

Roche declined to release the age or gender of the victim in the pornography Stull allegedly produced.

State police arrested him about noon Friday while he was driving a work truck in the Waynesburg area. He was placed in Greene County jail on $500,000 bond.

Police are asking any other potential victims to call the Waynesburg barracks at 724-627-6151.
