The Allegheny County Department of Public Works announced that Pangburn Hollow Road in Forward Township will be closed beginning at 9 a.m. Monday.

The project was rescheduled from the original closure date in June. The closure is due to repairs to Pangburn Hollow Bridge No. 8, which is located a quarter of a mile north of the intersection of Pangburn Hollow Road and William Penn Road. Traffic will be detoured using Bunola River Road, Raccoon Run Road and River Hill Road. The project is anticipated to take one month.

Work is being done by Pugliano Construction of Plum as part of the 2016 Capital Bridge Repair Project, which is a $1.45 million construction contract to address seven structurally deficient bridges throughout the county.
