Waynesburg Social Service League holding 24th annual golf tournament

The Waynesburg Social Service League will hold its 24th annual golf tournament next weekend at Rohanna’s Golf Course on Rolling Meadows Road in Franklin Township.

Registration for the tournament Aug. 13 will begin at 8 a.m. and the four-player scramble shotgun start will be at 9 a.m.

The tournament will include 18 holes of golf, a cart, doughnuts and coffee, lunch and refreshments. Entry fee is $280 per team.

First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Greene County is sponsoring the “hole-in-one” prizes. The first place team will receive a cash prize of $300. There will also be skill prizes, along with prizes from random drawings.

The Social Service League is a nonprofit women’s organization founded in 1921 by the late Josephine Denny to benefit the children of Central Greene School District.
