Two workers were injured in separate incidents Wednesday afternoon at Consol Energy’s Bailey Mine Complex, although neither worker suffered life-threatening injuries, a company spokesman said.

One miner, working as a roof bolter, was taken to an area hospital by helicopter after a rock fell on his head and shoulder. The miner was wearing a helmet and suffered a shoulder injury, the company said.

Later, another worker suffered an electrical shock and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Their identities and conditions were not released.
