Car’s new owner found near burning vehicle in Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH (AP) — An autopsy is set on the body of a Pittsburgh man found slain near the burning car he recently purchased.
The body of 33-year-old Gordan Johnson was found nearby when firefighters went to put out the burning car about 6:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police aren’t saying how Johnson might have been killed.
His family last reported seeing him Friday and say he recently purchased the used car that was burning when authorities found his body.
Police believe whoever killed Johnson and set the car on fire knew the remote area where both were found. The car was found in a grassy area behind a vacant home near 57th Street in the city’s Lawrenceville neighborhood.
