Wire leads stolen: Donald Hawkins of 539 Blaine Ave. told Canonsburg police Thursday wire leads were stolen from his welder.
Assault alleged: Jeffrey Allen Sickles, 34, of 468 Fourth St., Donora, is charged by borough police with simple assault, harassment and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Sickles is accused of choking and punching Jeffrey Irwin repeatedly in the face about 12:50 a.m. Aug. 14 in his residence. Irwin required emergency medical treatment for his injuries. District Judge Mark Wilson issued a warrant Thursday for the arrest of Sickles.
Women charged: Amanda Lee Cockerline, 34, of 119 Main St., Fayette City, and Kathleen R. Conn, 29, of 1937 Delaware Ave., Swissvale, are charged by borough police with prostitution, court records show. Police claim Conn agreed online and via text messages to have sex with an undercover officer about 10:50 p.m. Aug. 7 in the 800 block of Meldon Ave. Cockerline faces similar accusations in connection with an incident about 6:30 p.m. Aug. 6. District Judge Mark Wilson Thursday issued warrants for their arrests.
Fraud alleged: Cydnee D. Robinson, 23, of 671 McMahon Ave., Monessen, is charged by the state attorney general’s office with insurance fraud and theft over accusations she received $641 from Safe Auto Insurance for a vehicle accident that occurred in October 2015, before she activated her policy with the company, court records show. Robinson is free on unsecured bond set Thursday by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.
Charged in robbery: Dennis Jay Carini Jr., 21, of 9 Graham Ave., Belle Vernon, and Malorie Lynne Adams, 21, of 925 First St., Nanty Glo, are charged by city police with robbery, theft and simple assault, court records show. They are accused of kicking, punching and stealing a wallet from Clyde Newill about 4:40 p.m. May 22 at 627 Marguerite Ave. The charges were filed Friday before District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.
Drug charges: Joseph P. Douglas, 39, of 504 Park Manor Road, Monessen, and Michael J. McClain, 40, of 102 Skurkay Lane, Rostraver Township, are charged with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop that allegedly produced three stamp bags of heroin about 5:30 p.m. Aug. 6, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges Wednesday by summons.
Drug charge: Brandy Valentine, 37, of 31 Albert St., Fallowfield Township, is charged by city police with possessing four morphine pills during a traffic stop about 5:10 p.m. June 28 in the 400 block of Tyrol Boulevard, court records show. The charge was filed Thursday before District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.
Assault, disorderly arrest: Tammie L. Rogers, 52, of 419 Sixth St., Monongahela, was arrested Thursday by Monongahela police on charges of simple assault, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. She is accused of assaulting her neighbor by pushing and choking her. Rogers also allegedly threw a candy dish at the woman, missing her, but the dish shattered on the floor. Rogers was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.
Threat alleged: Samuel Stone Heaton, 20, of 331 Ohio St., North Belle Vernon, is charged by borough police with making terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, court records show. Heaton is accused of retrieving a 22-caliber rifle from his home and pointing it at Ronald F. Chiaravalle Jr. about 4:20 p.m. Thursday at Henry and Wilson streets. Heaton also is accused of kicking Chiaravalle’s car, spitting on him and striking the vehicle with his rifle. He is free on $1,000 unsecured bond set by District Judge Michael R. Mahady.
Theft alleged: Amanda R. Binger, 28, of 170 Valley View Drive, Rostraver Township, is charged by township police with two counts of theft, accused of stealing $14,792 from Tj’s Beer Warehouse, 4627 Route 51, while she worked there as a manager from March 12 to July 25, court records show. Binger is free on unsecured bond set Thursday by District Judge Charles Christner.
Driver injured: Raymond L. Morrow, 54, of Washington, was slightly injured when he crashed his car at the intersection of S Bridge and Vaneal roads, South Franklin, about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. State police said he crossed the southbound lane, hitting a tree. Morrow had a cut on his forehead. He was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.
Woman conned: A woman who works at a South Strabane convenience store was conned out of $300 by a man who claimed to be an IRS officer. The man, who identified himself as David Smith and spoke with a foreign accent, said she had to pay or be arrested for tax fraud, she told South Strabane police Thursday. He directed her to purchase iTunes gift cards and send him the numbers on the back. She told police when she missed calls from him, it indicated they were coming from 911.
House burglarized: Steve Maze of 610 Allison Ave. told Washington police Thursday a television and fishing poles were stolen in a burglary of his home. He came home to find his back door unlocked. The television was removed from a wall.
