WILKINSBURG (AP) – A man has shot near the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant in Western Pennsylvania had died.

Allegheny County police didn’t immediately identify the victim of the shooting about 11:30 a.m. Monday near the Wendy’s restaurant in Wilkinsburg.

Homicide Lt. Andrew Schurman says the man was shot in the neck and died at a hospital.

Police were attempting to locate surveillance video from businesses in the area, but believe the man was shot on the sidewalk near the restaurant then fled toward a dialysis clinic across the street.

Nobody in the restaurant was involved or hurt.

Police say there appear to have been several people involved “on each” side of the shooting, without elaborating. Schurman says the motive also isn’t clear.
