Two-vehicle crash: One person suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 5:18 p.m. Thursday on Route 21 at the Interstate 79 exit ramp. State police said Thomas R. Phillips, 51, of Carmichaels failed to stop for a red light on Route 21. His vehicle collided with a vehicle entering the highway driven by Ronald Conticelli, 68 of Leckrone. Conticelli’s passenger, Twila Conticelli, 64, suffered minor injuries, police said.

Man charged: Richard Allen Vanpelt, 44, of Fairmont, W.Va., was charged for allegedly entering houses at 1032 Mapletown Road and 631 Mapletown Road on Friday and stealing about $8,000 worth of property, state police said.
