Police: Man jailed after altercation with officer

Bryan M. Steele, 23, of 304 Johnson St., Youngwood, was placed in Washington County jail after allegedly striking a police officer at First Niagara Pavilion Saturday.

According to Hanover Township police, Steele became agitated while being removed from the venue, where Florida Georgia Line was headlining. He allegedly pushed a constable and punched a police officer in the face. Steele allegedly threatened to kill officers when he was taken into custody.

Steele was evaluated at a local hospital, then arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in jail on $25,000 bond. He faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, disorderly conduct and making terroristic threats.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled Sept. 8 before District Judge Gary Havelka.
