Storage unit burglarized: State police said Thursday that a storage unit at Pennsylvania Avenue and Arch Street, Canton, was entered between October and Nov. 13. Stolen from the unit were two guitars, a drum set and stereo. Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Christopher Storm at 724-223-5200.
Window broken: David Steede of 111 Ivy Court told Chartiers police Wednesday that a window on the second floor of his house was broken by a shot fired from a pellet or BB gun.
Assault arrest: Justin Richmond, 35, of 42 Wotring Road, Hopewell, was arrested Wednesday night by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment. He is accused of punching Kelley Ciaffoni in the back of the head during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond.
Damage, theft reported: Mt. Pleasant police said someone drove through the grass at the entrance to Fort Cherry Golf Club, 80 Fort Cherry Road, ripping down Christmas lights on the golf club’s sign Tuesday. On Thursday, golf club employees reported more damage to the grass and the theft of the Christmas lights. Anyone with information on the incidents is asked to call police at 724-356-7917, ext. 106.
Packages stolen: Daniel Lazear of 34 Leet St. told Washington police Wednesday that two packages that had been delivered containing archery equipment were stolen from outside his house.
