TRIPIL CEO honored
Gov. Tom Wolf has appointed the chief executive officer of Tri-County Patriots for Independent Living to serve on the state’s newly formed Long Term Care Council.
Kathleen Kleinmann, who has been with TRIPIL for more than 25 years, will serve a three-year term as an advocate for long term care.
“I am excited to serve in this capacity,” Kleinmann said in a press release issued Wednesday. “I look forward to providing positive input for the council’s decision-making process.”
The mission of the new council, which replaced the Intra-Governmental Council on Long Term Care, is to study, observe and recommend improvements to Pennsylvania’s long term care systems.
Leo Trich, who chairs TRIPL’s development committee, said it was fitting that Kleinmann’s “accomplishments, mission and determination have been recognized by the Commonwealth” in its request for her assistance on the council.
“We look forward to the future of this council, and for what it represents for improving the lives of thousands across the state,” he said.
Headquartered in Washington, TRIPL advocates for the civil rights of people with disabilities and promotes independent living in Southwestern Pennsylvania’s communities.
