Drivers cited: Justin Hackney, 36, of Washington, and John R. Thomas, 68, of Uniontown, each were cited by state police after a two-vehicle crash about 6:30 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 79 near the Southpointe exit, Cecil. Hackney was driving in the right lane when he crashed into the guardrails before crossing lanes of traffic and hitting Thomas’ car. Hackney was cited with failure to stay in his lane while Thomas was cited for not having insurance.

Woman charged: Christina Marie Adams, 37, of 118 S. McDonald St., McDonald, was charged Thursday by McDonald police with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after police were called to Hart’s Restaurant, 112 Station St., for a report of an unconscious woman at the bar. The bartender, who refused to serve her, told police Adams was intoxicated when she entered the bar. She was taken to the police station to wait for a ride. Police said she then started becoming hysterical and using foul language, so she was placed in a holding cell. Her father later called police and said he would take responsibility for her if they would drop her off at his home.

Overdose suspected: State police in Belle Vernon were called Saturday afternoon to a home on Santa Barbara Road, South Huntingdon for a report that a 17-year-old Monessen girl overdosed on heroin. Police said she was found unresponsive in her boyfriend’s bedroom after she allegedly snorted two packets of heroin. Personnel from Rostraver/West Newton emergency services administered Narcan. The girl was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment.
