Police beat Dec. 15
Terroristic threats: Alexandra Jarrell, 20, of 412 E. Fourth Ave., Crucible, was charged by Cumberland Township police with terroristic threats, harassment and criminal trespassing after she allegedly threatened to burn another Crucible woman’s house down Saturday night. Jarrell allegedly pushed her way inside the residence of Madalyn Smith, of the 200 block of Third Avenue, and yelled “I will burn this place down, this house won’t be standing by tomorrow,” the criminal complaint said.
Resisting arrest: Jackie Edward Rutan, Jr., 31, of 100 W. High St., Waynesburg, was charged with resisting arrest, flight to avoid apprehension, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct following an incident around 2 p.m. Nov. 11, borough police said. Police said they saw Rutan walking on East Greene Street and attempted to arrest him on a warrant. Rutan ran from police through yards, hopped fences and crossed through traffic, almost getting struck by a water truck, police said. Police eventually wrestled Rutan to the ground and removed two knives and a hypodermic needle with Subutex in it from his pocket.
