INDUSTRY (AP) — State police say a man has been arrested in the hit-and-run death of a man walking along a Western Pennsylvania highway last month.

Police in Beaver County said Wednesday that 62-year-old William Aeschbacher of Industry was charged with accidents involving death, failure to render aid and failure to notify police.

Authorities said he was charged in the death of 25-year-old Brandon Bixler, who was struck early on Nov. 27 in Industry. Authorities believe he was walking home from a bar.

Police said they received a tip Tuesday that the vehicle involved in the accident was on Aeschbacher’s property, and it was found to have damage consistent with the accident.

Court documents don’t list an attorney for Aeschbacher and a working phone number for him couldn’t be found Wednesday.
