Theft, drug arrest: Doris Jane Arnold, 32, of Follansbee, W.Va., was arrested Saturday by McDonald police on charges of retail theft and possession of crack and paraphernalia. Police received a report of a suspicious woman in the parking lot of Rite Aid, 1340 Main St., Burgettstown. Police found her with items valued at $135 reportedly stolen from the store in addition to suspected crack. She was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County jail.

DUI crash: Charity A. Lloyd, 40, of 521 Franklin Ave., Canonsburg, will be charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after she crashed into a steel pole, ground box and utility pole in the 200 block of Second Street, about 10 p.m. Friday, police said. She was taken to Canonsburg Hospital, where blood was drawn to determine her alcohol content.

Jewelry stolen: Desiree Caballero-Varga of Barr Street told Canonsburg police Friday jewelry valued at $7,378 was stolen from her home.

Public drunkenness: Lisa Rubino, 46, of 409 Meadow Ave., Charleroi, was charged with public drunkenness after she was found early Sunday highly intoxicated and unresponsive on a bus stop bench at the intersection of Seventh Street and Fallowfield Avenue. She was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment.

Assault case: Abby E. Timlin, 24, of 109 Mary Ellen St. in Fallowfield Township, is charged by state police with simple assault and harassment, accused of kicking her brother in the face and neck about 7 p.m. Friday, court records show. Timlin is free on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Drug charges: Erica Lee Smith, 36, of 219 Johnston St., McDonald, was charged Thursday by McDonald police with possession of heroin and paraphernalia after they were called to her home for a possible overdose. Police found two needles and nine stamp bags of suspected heroin.

Vandalism reported: A walker at the McDonald Trail Station told McDonald police Wednesday he saw graffiti painted on a podium on the trail off South McDonald Street.

Restroom damaged: Robert S. Kelly, 21, of 70 Bowen Road, McDonald, will be charged with criminal mischief after he allegedly damaged a soap dispenser and mirror inside a restroom at Kramer’s Tavern, 219 Dickson St., Midway.

Driver injured: Emily Jackson, no age or address available, was seriously injured Sunday night when her vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 70 west between the Taylorstown and West Chestnut Street exits, North Franklin, state police said. The rig slowed to avoid a collision with another vehicle and Jackson’s vehicle struck it, pinning her vehicle under the trailer, police said. She was flown to UPMC, Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh, for treatment of nonlife-threatening injuries, police said. The westbound lanes of the highway were closed for about two hours.

One injured: Vincent Domitrovich, 58, of Aliquippa, was injured Saturday afternoon in a four-vehicle crash on Route 519 near the Canon Hill Veterinary Clinic, North Strabane police said. A southbound vehicle driven by Sabrina Hall, 20, of 22 Main St., Ellsworth, stopped to make a left turn with a vehicle driven by Brandon L. Watts, 31, of 435 Chartiers Ave., Canonsburg, stopped behind her. Domitrovich failed to stop, hitting Watts’ vehicle, which was pushed into the northbound lane, striking a vehicle driven by James Zerfoss, 36, of Bethel Park. Domitrovich was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Theft arrest: Billie Francis Lamantia, 44, of Pittsburgh, was arrested Sunday after by South Strabane police on a charge of retail theft after he allegedly stole two jackets at the Columbia store at Tanger Outlets. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Drug arrest: Melissa M. Smith, 46, of 323 Tyler Ave., Washington, is charged by state police with possession of heroin with intent to deliver, drug possession, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accuse her of having two bundles of heroin in her home when it was searched Aug. 18. Smith is free on $25,000 bond after being arrested on a warrant Saturday and arraigned by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Man stabs self: James Blankinsop, 23, of 432 1/2 E. Prospect Ave., Washington, will be charged with public drunkenness after Washington police were called about 4:30 a.m. Monday to assist ambulance personnel with a stabbing victim at the intersection of East Wylie Avenue and Sammy Angott Way. Police said Blankinsop was bleeding profusely from a wound on his lower leg. He told police he stabbed himself while walking and had been drinking. Blankinsop was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.

Disorderly charge: Brandon Klages, 23, of 1570 Jefferson Ave., Washington, will be charged with disorderly conduct after he allegedly tried to punch a man early Monday. Police had been called to a large fight in the 1100 block of Meadow Avenue that reportedly involved 20 people when they saw Klages trying to punch the other man in the face.

DUI crash: Timothy Carrigan, 51, of 2317 Beallsville Road, Marianna, faces a charge of DUI after he allegedly crashed his sport utility vehicle into several vehicles parked in the 400 block of Allison Avenue Sunday night. Washington police said his blood alcohol content was more than double the 0.08 limit presumed for intoxication.

Card stolen: Clyde Newell of Mt. Pleasant, Westmoreland County, told Washington police Sunday his debit card was stolen and used to make a $500 withdrawal at the PNC Bank on Jefferson Avenue.

Man assaulted: Zachary Wheeler, 34, of Washington, reported he was assaulted Sunday in the 10 block of West Chestnut Street. Washington police are investigating.

Trespass charge: Delbert Green, 53, of 240 N. College St., Washington, will be charged by Washington police with criminal trespass after he was reportedly on Washington Hospital property without permission Sunday.

Woman assaulted: Brandon Angelo, 22, of 117 Hall Ave., was arrested Saturday by Washington police for simple assault and flight to avoid apprehension after he allegedly assaulted Katelynn Thomas, 21, during a confrontation at their home. Police said he pulled her hair, hit and dragged her. He then allegedly tried to flee from police. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Money withdrawn: Nikki Marshall of 556 W. Chestnut St., told Washington police Saturday $700 was withdrawn using her debit card at Northwest Savings Bank, West Beau Street. Charges are pending against the alleged thief.

Man robbed: David Grayson, 680 Maple Ave., told Washington police that he was assaulted and robbed by a black man wearing dark clothing Saturday. He said there was a knock on the door and when his girlfriend opened it, the man pushed his way into the home and reportedly attacked Grayson with what appeared to be a handgun. The robber stole a large amount of money that had been in Grayson’s pocket and fled. What appears to be a slide from a semiautomatic handgun was found on a couch and taken as evidence, police said.

Disorderly charge: Wendell Ratley Jr., 45, of 231 N. Lincoln Ave., Washington, will be charged by Washington police with disorderly conduct after he allegedly threatened a man Saturday at Family Dollar, East Wylie Avenue.

Mirror broken: Patricia Brodak of Allison Avenue told Washington police Friday that the driver’s side mirror of her vehicle was broken.

Theft: David Edgar Gaito, 26, of 715 Fayette St., faces a theft charge following an incident Saturday in which he allegedly stole a cellphone from Kaitlin Dennis, city police said.

Drug charges: Taylor Dino, 32, of 15 Ward St., Taylorstown, faces two counts of drug possession and one count each of retail theft and resisting arrest following an incident Jan. 22 in which Washington police allegedly found her shoplifting $27 worth of merchandise and found approximately 20 empty heroin stamp bags of heroin.

Drug charges: Lori Ann Hensel-Reed, 33, of 410 E. Francis Ave., Connellsville, will be charged with two counts of drug possession and one count of operating a vehicle with a suspended license following a traffic stop on Henderson Avenue on Sept. 23, state police said. The charges will proceed by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Escapes injury: Ian Howsare, 32, of Amity, escaped injury Saturday when his vehicle struck an embankment on Lone Pine Road, West Bethlehem, before crossing over the road and traveling 10 feet off the road, state police said. He will be cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.

Tree hit: Jeffrey Jenkins, 45, of Fairmont, W.Va., was not injured Friday morning when his vehicle slid off Majorsville Road, West Finley, and hit a tree before going 20 feet down a hill, state police said.
