Police say woman, 4-year-old shot in McKeesport
MCKEESPORT (AP) – Police say a 20-year-old woman and a 4-year-old child have been shot in a Pittsburgh suburb wracked by gun violence in recent days.
Police in McKeesport didn’t immediately identify the victims. But they were wounded about 3 a.m. Monday in a home that was the site of gunfire on Saturday, too.
This time, police say someone fired several shots into the back of the house. Some of the shots penetrated walls or windows and hit the two victims.
Police are saying the woman and child are expected to survive.
Police say two men were shot sitting in a parked vehicle on Saturday night, one fatally. About 3:45 a.m. Saturday, more shots were fired at or near the house targeted earlier Monday. Nobody was hurt then, though some stray bullets hit an ambulance service building.
