The Cornerstone Genealogical Society of Greene County will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the log cabin courthouse on Greene Street in Waynesburg. This month’s topic will be “The Mather Mine Disaster” presented by Zack Patton. The meeting is free and open to the public.

A comedy and hypnosis show will be held this month in the West Greene High School auditorium as a fundraiser for the school’s choir program. Jason Christopher, a hypnotist from Pittsburgh, will perform Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Choir students will be selling tickets, or they can be purchased at the West Greene Elementary Center’s music room. They can also be bought by contacting choir director Michael Bruno at 724-499-5183. For more information about the show, go to www.hypnotistjasonchristopher.com.
