Police beat Feb. 5
Snowplow parts stolen: A snowplow motor and lights were stolen from the front of a pickup truck parked at Fox Auto Services at 1395 S. Eighty-Eight Road in Monongahela Township between Jan. 1 and 22, state police said.
Timber stolen: State police said someone went on a property at 390 Hoy Run Road in Perry Township and cut down four to six trees between Jan. 15 and 31.
Stolen car: State police charged Timothy P. Mitchell, 29, of 275 Blacks Run Road, Mt. Morris, with theft after he allegedly stole his ex-girlfriend’s car Feb. 20, 2014, and refused to return it. Police filed the theft charge through Senior District Judge Jesse Cramer’s office Tuesday.
Burglary reported: A flat screen television was stolen during at home burglary at 124 Funston Ave. in Wayne Township between Jan. 27 and 31, state police said.
Assault charge: Travis L. Rebold, 27, of 66 S. Richhill St., Waynesburg, faces charges of simple assault, resisting arrest, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness following a fight with a woman Jan. 30 near his home, borough police said. Police said Rebold attempted to fight with an officer before being placed under arrest.
Harassment: Elizabeth A. Snyder, 33, of 324 S. Washington St., Waynesburg, was cited for harassment after borough police said she struck a woman’s hand during an argument at her home Jan. 10.
Escape charges: Escape charges were filed Tuesday by Waynesburg police against Alexander S. Huffman, 22, of Uniontown, who ran from officers Jan. 28 when they attempted to arrest him on High Street on a warrant for simple assault. Huffman was later arrested following a search in Waynesburg’s South Side, police said. Huffman was also charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He remains in Greene County jail on bond.
