The Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Authority announced it will shut off water on Fifth Avenue in Waynesburg between West and Huffman streets from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday for upgrades to the system. Customers may experience low water pressure or no water during the time and are asked to keep containers of water available to minimize any inconvenience.

Chartiers Township Parks and Recreation has planned a senior citizen family Valentine’s Day lunch Feb. 13. There are openings on the recreation committee and Friends of the Park committee. Call the community center at 724-485-2126.
