The Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Authority announced it will shut off water on Franklin Street in Waynesburg between East and Washington streets from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday for upgrades to the system. Customers could experience low water pressure or no water during the time and are asked to keep containers of water available to minimize any inconvenience.
Purple Heart Chapter 34 will meet at the Waynesburg VFW at 7 p.m. Thursday.
A square dance with line dancing, polkas, cake walk and more will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at Center Township fire hall in Rogersville. Cost is $7 per person and $10 per couple. Caller will be Dave Dahl. Food and drinks will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m. The dance benefits Center Township Volunteer Fire Department. For more information, call 724-499-5385.
