Fort Cherry teacher under investigation
McDonald police are investigating allegations that a male teacher in Fort Cherry School District had inappropriate contact with a teen student, police Chief Mark Dorsey said Wednesday.
“We don’t have any conclusions,” Dorsey said. “It may take a little while yet. We are still investigating.”
Dorsey said the district that serves students in McDonald, Midway and Hickory boroughs and Robinson and Mt. Pleasant townships, contacted the police department a couple weeks ago with the allegations.
Dorsey declined to disclose the sex of the student and what type of alleged inappropriate contact the department is investigating.
Dorsey assigned two patrol officers, Brad Resnik and Abigail Galbraith, to the investigation.
School district Superintendent Jill Jacoby and district solicitor John Smart did not return messages for comment.
