Drug arrest: Fred E. Stewart Jr., 37, of 64 Chestnut St., Ellsworth, was arrested Friday by Canonsburg police on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin and cocaine and possession of paraphernalia. Police said they learned he would be delivering heroin in the 100 block of West College Street. Police followed him from a home in Valley View Terrace and stopped him on West College. Found in the vehicle were a large amount of heroin, cocaine, paraphernalia and $1,200, police said. Stewart was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.

Assault arrest: Rick W. Davidson, 56, of 1520 Jefferson Ave., was arrested Saturday by state police after he allegedly assaulted Leslie Vasey at their home the previous day. Police were called to Washington Hospital, where Vasey was being treated for injuries suffered when Davidson allegedly beat her in the head, knocked her to the ground and kicked her. She told police he would not let her leave the house. Davidson was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment. He was released from Washington County jail after posting $25,000 bond Saturday.

Theft arrest: Scott Meighen of 198 Bench Ave., Canton, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge David Mark on charges of theft, access device fraud and receiving stolen property. He is accused of using his mother’s account information to make purchases through Paypal earlier this month. He was released on $25,000 unsecured bond.

Harassment charge: Gary Coleman Jr., 25, of Canton, was charged by state police with harassment for allegedly getting into a physical altercation Monday with Dayna Kelley, 24, of Canton, at 108 W. Wylie Ave.

Son arrested: Aaron W. Toth, 22, of 303 Redds Mill Road, Fallowfield, was arrested Saturday by state police after he allegedly bit the wrist of his father and wrapped a cord around his neck during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of simple assault and harassment and placed in Washington County jail on $15,000 bond. Toth also was arraigned Wednesday by District Judge Larry Hopkins on charges of theft and theft by deception filed by state police in connection with a Feb. 6 incident in Fallowfield. Hopkins set a $25,000 bond on those charges.

Traffic stop: Chelsea Lenzi, 20, of 457 Liberty Ave., Monongahela, is charged in a summons by city police with possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday at Sixth Street and Reed Avenue, court records show.

Club cited: The Fraternal Order of Eagles, 461-463 Schoonmaker Ave., Monessen, was cited Wednesday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly permitting gambling or possessing gambling devices on 31 days in September, October, November and December.

Drug arrest: Nathaniel D. Fitzgerald, 31, of 137 Chess St., Monongahela, was arraigned Saturday on a warrant obtained by the Washington County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin and criminal use of a communications facility. He is accused of selling heroin to a confidential informant once in November and again in December. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.

Paraphernalia charge: Travis Wolfe, 21, of 172 Prigg Road, Canton Township, asked a police officer’s permission to park his vehicle in a gravel lot in the 1550 block of West Chestnut Street on Jan. 30, and North Franklin police, in answering his question, said they spotted an empty stamp bag bearing the name “Madden” in sight on the driver’s seat. Police conducted a search of the vehicle, which they said netted additional empty bags, a pipe and a spoon. Wolfe faces a drug paraphernalia possession charge. Police also allege that his registration plate did not match his vehicle.

Drug, disorderly charges: North Franklin Township police were notified a man had possibly overdosed in the bathroom of the McDonald’s restaurant at 1294 W. Chestnut St. Feb. 2, and they said they found Dillon Oliver, 23, of 2021 Beham Ridge Road, Claysville, facedown, passed out and barely breathing. Police said he had five full heroin stamp bags marked with black boot prints. Oliver was charged with a Drug Act violation and disorderly conduct, according to documents filed with District Judge Robert Redlinger, who will mail Oliver a summons to appear for a hearing.

One injured: Gary F. Velmer, 64, of 118 Hunting Creek Road, Canonsburg, was injured Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Wylie Avenue and Chartiers Street, Strabane. North Strabane police said Kari Ann Cudicio, 29, of 120 North St., McDonald, failed to stop for a stop sign. She swerved in an attempt to avoid the crash and struck Velmer’s vehicle and a fence at 130 Chartiers, police said. Velmer was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment. Cudicio was cited for a stop sign violation.

Theft charge: Tyler D. Warne, 21, of 1583 E. Maiden St., Washington, was charged with theft by North Strabane police after he allegedly failed to make a $973.09 payment to Bobby Rahal BMW, 2610 Washington Road, on Feb. 10. He reportedly took his vehicle from the lot without permission, police said. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Theft charge: Craig Matthew Okosnky, 36, of 475 Weddell Drive, Belle Vernon, was charged this week by Rostraver police with theft by deception. He is accused of removing items from the shelves of Walmart, 100 Sara Way, Belle Vernon, on Jan. 27 and then taking them to customer service. Police said he produced a receipt to get cash for the items. Police believe it was an old receipt or one he had found. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.

Charged in crash: Daniel Albert Baker, 51, of 306 Market St., Belle Vernon, was charged this week by Rostraver police with accidents involving personal injury, leaving the scene of a crash and failure to render aid stemming from a Jan. 21 hit-and-run crash on Finley Road at Indian Hill Road. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Charles Christner.

Drug charges: Shawn Robert Umbel, 39, of 103 Brightwell Drive, Fayette City, was charged by Rostraver police with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of heroin after police said he was found Feb. 6 on the side of Martin Road. He allegedly told police that he had just ingested heroin. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.

Wanted in assault: Rostraver police have obtained an arrest warrant for Dameon Isbell, 42, who has no known address, on charges of simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief. He is accused of assaulting his girlfriend Saturday at Rostraver Apartments, 315 Mathews Road. The warrant was obtained from District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.

DUI alleged in crash: Michael Troy Carlson, 28, of 180 Route 837, Monongahela, was charged by Rostraver police with driving under the influence of alcohol in connection with a one-vehicle crash Feb. 8 on Route 201. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.

Theft arrest: Ashley N. Koebel, 27, of Columbus, Ohio, was arrested Tuesday by South Strabane police after she allegedly stole items valued at $158 from Kohl’s, Strabane Square. She allegedly ran out of the store and was found hiding in the bathroom of a nearby business. She was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on a charge of retail theft and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Driver charged: Richard A. Doak Jr., 48, of 80 Enterprise Road, Washington, was charged last week by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and traffic violations. Police said they spotted him driving erratically Feb. 5 on Interstate 70 eastbound at the north junction with Interstate 79, South Strabane. Police activated their emergency lights and tried to pull him over, but they said he continued to drive, getting off at Racetrack Road and pulling into a restaurant parking lot. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Purse-snatching arrest: James R. Kester, 36, of Pittsburgh, was arrested Friday by Southwest Regional police after he allegedly stole a purse from a woman while she loaded groceries into her vehicle in the parking lot of Giant Eagle, 3701 Route 88, Union. Kester ran but was apprehended on a hillside across the street, police said. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of robbery and theft. He was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Paraphernalia found: City police were called to a dispute in an apartment building at 161 Hall Ave. the night of Jan. 29. When an officer went to Suite No. 5, he said he saw a syringe and two empty stamp bags. Further investigation turned up a total of 17 empty bags, said police, who recently filed a charge of possessing drug paraphernalia against the resident, Jeff Gordon, 58, with District Judge Robert Redlinger, who will issue a summons for Gordon to appear for a hearing.

Drug possession: A traffic stop the night of Feb. 2 at Sumner and Hallam avenues resulted in a pat-down search of the driver, Jesse Aaron Snyder, 31, of 281 Grandview Way, Charleroi. City police said a bag containing the opioid Suboxone fell from Snyder’s pants leg, and they found a stamp bag labeled “Peace of Mind” containing a small amount of heroin in the purse of a passenger, Shannon Pascoe, 27, of 246 Shirls Ave., Washington. In documents filed with District Judge Robert Redlinger, police are charging both of them with possession of a controlled substance.

Simple assault: Martin Moye, 30, of 140 Grove Ave., Washington, has been charged with striking Lacy Evanovich, no age given, of 446 Broad St., at 6:35 p.m. Friday during an argument. Evanovich suffered facial marks and laceration under her right eye during the incident at her home. City police are proceeding by summons issued by the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Drug possession: A vehicle stop at Washington and West Chestnut streets at 12:31 a.m. Feb. 4 resulted in a drug possession charge against Jahleel Kimbo, 21, of 75 Angle St., Washington. Police said there was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car, and they found a suspected Oxycodone pill in the vehicle.

Ex-employee charged: Chantel Ardeno, 22, of 83 Hawkins St., Washington, is alleged to have pocketed about $300 that she should have placed in the cash register at Little Caesar’s pizzeria, 275 Jefferson Ave., city police said. Her actions were caught on surveillance video, and she agreed to repay the money, police said, but there was no repayment, and the store’s last contact with her occurred in late January, according to the affidavit filed along with the theft charge at the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Harassment charge: Mary L. Berry, 66, of 530 E. Maiden St., Washington, was charged with harassment by Washington police after she allegedly walked onto a neighbor’s sidewalk and porch before acting as though she was holding a gun and firing shots. The neighbor, Deborah Talerico, told police it was not the first time Berry had done it.
