Early morning fire investigated

An early morning fire at a vacant home in Monongahela is under investigation by a state fire marshal.

According to Aaron Leezer of the Monongahela Fire Department, a call came in at 1:20 a.m. that the structure at 413 Parkinson St. was ablaze.

In addition to Monongahela, members of New Eagle and Carroll Township fire departments responded.

Leezer said the fire was under control by 2 a.m.

No one was injured, and a damage estimate was not immediately available.
