Hit-and-run crash: Amanda Parquette of 516 Indian Hill Road, Belle Vernon, told Southwest Regional police Feb. 16 a vehicle hit the driver’s side mirror of her vehicle while it was parked on Main Street in Belle Vernon. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.

One injured: Lucille M. Cannon, 86, of Canonsburg, suffered a chest injury Friday afternoon when her car collided with a vehicle driven by Terry Lee Cooper Jr., 37, of Wind Ridge, as she pulled from the McDonald’s parking lot onto Bobby Vinton Boulevard, Canonsburg police said.

Fugitive arrest: James William Hitt, 26, of 270 Shirls Ave., Washington, was arrested Saturday night as a fugitive from justice following a traffic stop near Caldwell Avenue and Hickory Street, Canton. Police checked his background and learned he was wanted in Summit County, Ohio, for failing to update his address and for failing to register as a sex offender. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail without bond, pending extradition to Ohio.

Harassment charge: Timothy Booker of Avella will be charged by state police with harassment after he reportedly got into a physical confrontation Saturday with Jason Dillon, 18, also of Avella, at 108 Donahoe Road, Cross Creek.

Truck rolls: Donald R. Clinton, 49, of Sabina, Ohio, escaped injury early Sunday when his truck rolled over at the off ramp of Interstate 70 eastbound at Claysville. State police said he under-compensated on a curve. The truck went up an embankment and crashed through an exit sign before traveling 200 feet and rolling over. He will be charged with careless driving.

Woman assaulted: Davon Goins, 31, of 123 Allen Ave., Donora, is charged by borough police with simple assault, accused of striking Lauren Law in the right side of the face, possibly with shoe, about 9:20 a.m. Feb. 11 in the 100 block of Castner Avenue, court records show. Goins is in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set Monday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Theft case: Kurtis Powell, 30, of 512 Castner Ave., Donora, is charged by borough police with theft, accused of stealing a vacuum valued at $2,264 from Angie Enterprises of Youngwood about noon Feb. 17, court records show. Powell is in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set Monday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Assault arrest: Malik H. Lawson, 20, of 111 McKean Ave., Donora, was arrested Saturday by Donora police in connection with a Feb. 11 assault at 451 Fifth St. Lawson is accused of punching Lauren Law in the mouth during a confrontation. Law also was hit near the eye, police said. Lawson was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on a charge of simple assault. He was released with orders not to have any contact with the alleged victim.

Warrant arrest: Roy Charles Jones, II, 31, of Aliquippa, was arraigned Saturday on a warrant obtained by Hanover police on charge of fleeing or attempting to elude police, reckless driving, possession of cocaine and traffic violations stemming from a Feb. 8 pursuit on Route 18. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and released on his own recognizance, with conditions.

Water line break: McDonald police were called Sunday morning for a water line break in the 100 block of Liberty Street. Pennsylvania-American Water was notified, police said.

Disorderly charge: Shawna Russell, 55, of Windy Hill Lane, Burgettstown, will be charged by Mt. Pleasant police with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after she allegedly was in the middle of Loffert Road about 10:30 p.m. Friday, yelling at officers who were trying to serve a warrant in the area. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Traci McDonald.

Assault Arrest: Philip Bruce Cain, 53, of 12 Crestview Estates, New Eagle, was arrested Sunday by Monongahela police on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. He is accused of assaulting his son, Stanley Cain, during a confrontation. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and released with orders not to have any contact with the alleged victim.

Crash reported: Natasha Menzer, 22, of Eighty Four, escaped injury Sunday when her vehicle went off Bull Run Road, North Bethlehem, and crashed into an embankment, state police said. She will be cited with failing to stay in her lane.

Two crashes: John Hodgson, 52, of 1011 Park Ave., Washington, will be charged by North Franklin police with driving under the influence of alcohol and by Washington police with leaving the scene of a crash stemming from two crashes Friday. He is accused of crashing into a vehicle driven by Leatha Shrader, 48, of Canton Township, at the intersection of Henderson and Jefferson avenues. Police said Hodgson fled and was then involved in a crash in North Franklin. Police said his blood-alcohol content was three times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed.

One injured: One person was hurt in a two-car accident Sunday at the intersection of Bunker Hill Drive and Bebout Road in Venetia. Police said a vehicle driven by Nicholas Schaeffer, 18, of Venetia, collided with one driven by Pamela Babac, 56, of Venetia. Babac was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment of a leg injury.

Lines down: A downed power line Saturday afternoon in the 800 block of Campbell Road, Robinson, started a small brush fire, McDonald police said. Midway firefighters and West Penn Power crews responded.

Assault arrest: Malachi Simmons, 43, of 705 1/2 Broad St., Washington, was arrested Saturday by Washington police on a charge of simple assault after he allegedly kicked Noelle Catlin in the stomach, causing her to hit her head against a wall. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County Jail on $3,000 bond.

Woman claims assault: Georgia Zawatski, 52, of 890 Ewing St., told Washington police she was hit in the chest and leg by her live-in boyfriend during a confrontation at their home Saturday. Charges are pending against the 48-year-old man. She was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.

Window broken: Gerald Williams of 239 Burton Ave. told Washington police Saturday a piece of concrete was thrown through a window at his home.

Disorderly charge: City police said Joyce Cole, 49, of 616 Fayette St., Washington, was charged with harassment after an officer saw her hit Thomas Wormsley of Washington as they walked in the 100 block of West Chestnut Street Saturday.

Drug charges: John Donley, 25, of 333 N. Main St., Washington, will be charged by Washington police with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia after he allegedly was found with suspected heroin when police said he apparently overdosed Saturday in a rest room at Get Go, 104 E. Wylie Ave. Donley was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.

DUI charge: Kyle Roach, 26, of 75 Laurie Lane, Washington, will be charged by Washington police with DUI after police say he crashed his vehicle onto the railroad track bed off Railroad Street Friday. Police said his BAC was almost three times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed.

Theft arrest: Jamie Lynn Brady, 40, of 48 Ridge Road, Brownsville, was arrested Saturday by state police on charges of retail theft and harassment after she allegedly stole items from Walmart, Route 40, West Brownsville, and then shoved a loss-prevention officer to the floor as she tried to flee. She was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and released on her own recognizance.
