Police Beat Feb. 24
Disorderly house: David Lavaughn Edmunds, 21, and David Ingram, 21, both of Pittsburgh, were charged by California police under the disorderly house ordinance after police were called late Monday night to 513 Second St. for a report of loud music.
Flight charge: Brian Ardeno, 31, of 482 W. Wylie Ave., Canton, was charged Friday by Washington County sheriff’s deputies with flight to avoid apprehension after an adult probation officer tried to take him into custody at his home Jan. 22 on a probation warrant. Ardeno allegedly jumped off the back porch and ran from his house when the officer was at his door. Ardeno was placed in Washington County jail on the probation warrant Feb. 1. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
False ID: Kara Twardoski, 27, of Yorkville, Ohio, was charged Friday by state police with possession of paraphernalia, resisting arrest, giving false identification and disorderly conduct. Troopers said they found her in a vehicle in the Jessop Place Park ‘n’ Ride lot, Canton, with suspected paraphernalia Dec. 25. She allegedly struggled as a trooper tried to take her into custody and gave a false name. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Drug, DUI charges: Timothy Jay Walker Jr., 23, of 1016 Burgettstown Road, Hickory, was charged Friday by state police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, driving under the influence of a controlled substance and an equipment violation stemming from a Dec. 31 traffic stop on West Chestnut Street, Canton. Police said he was under the influence of oxycodone and marijuana. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Theft case: Jerry L. Clark, 44, of 313 Market St., Belle Vernon, is charged by borough police with theft and receiving stolen property, accused of stealing $120 and a credit card from Anita Fields after they dropped out of her pocket at a convenience store at 3 Fayette St. about 10:30 a.m. Jan. 6. Clark waived his charges to Westmoreland County Court Monday before District Judge Charles Christner.
DUI crash: Donald A. Clements, 49, of 40 Sampson St., Belle Vernon, is charged by borough police with driving under the influence of alcohol and not wearing proper headgear on a motorcycle, which he crashed about 2:10 a.m. Jan. 6 at Broad Avenue and Arch Street, court records show. Clements waived his charges to Westmoreland County Court Monday before District Judge Charles Christner.
DUI alleged in crash: Melissa Rose Wise, 36, of 272 Park Ave., North Franklin Township, will be charged by North Franklin police with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a crash and reckless driving after she allegedly crashed into two parked cars and a yard in the 400 block of West Maiden Street just before 5 a.m. Tuesday. Police said they found her at her nearby home shortly after the crash after one of the victims reported seeing a woman walking toward Park Avenue. Police said her blood-alcohol content was almost twice the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed.
