Employee attacked at clinic in Franklin
State police are investigating an incident in which a person used a file organizer to attack an employee working at an doctor’s office along Route 21 in Franklin Township earlier this month.
Police said an unidentified person was found by the victim in the building, which is at the same location as the Washington Physicians Group near Greene County Airport, about 7:30 p.m. Feb. 15.
The person struck the employee with the file organizer and then ran from the building, police said.
The complex is owned by the Washington Health System, but the assault occurred in an office inside the building that is leased and not a part of the hospital system, WHS spokeswoman Stephanie Wagoner said.
She added that the victim, whose name was not released, does not work for Washington Health System.
No description of the intruder was provided by police and the severity of the victim’s injuries were not known.
