Theft charges: Nathaniel Chipps, 19, of 2389 S. Eighty-Eight Road, Carmichaels, was charged with five counts each of theft and receiving stolen property after Cumberland Township police said he stole an Xbox gaming system, games and a credit card Saturday from house on Fourth Avenue in Crucible.

Scattering rubbish: State police reported a man dumped a truckload of shingles on someone’s property in the 600 block of Sugar Run Road in Franklin Township Jan. 30. Police said the man then left scene after he was seen by witnesses.

Theft from a car: State police said multiple items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle Feb. 7 in the 600 block of Taylortown Road, Dunkard Township.

UTV stolen: State police responded last month to Smith Creek Road near State Route 2011, in Greene Township, for the report of a stolen utility-task vehicle belonging to Atlas Energy Services of Eighty Four. Police said someone hotwired a fuel truck, moved it from its location and broke into a storage container where the UTV was stored. Police said the UTV was then driven from the scene.
