Katelynn Schooley

CARMICHAELS – Katelynn Schooley and Odyzza Centro, seniors at Carmichaels Area High School, were named girls of the month for January and February, respectively, by the Carmichaels Area Women’s Civic Club.

Schooley, the daughter of James and Brandy Schooley, is treasurer of National Honor Society and secretary of the senior standing committee and the senior class. She receives high honors in school.

She is a member of student council, chemistry club, ski club and school newspaper staff.

Schooley is the 2015 homecoming queen and a scholar athlete.

She was a member of the first team for the volleyball section all-stars and a top 15 performer in fall Greene County sports. She is captain of the varsity volleyball team and cheerleading squad.

Schooley dances competitively at Inmotion Dance and Fitness, where she has won numerous awards with her team.

She participated in the Liberty Bowl with the America’s Homecoming Queen Association.

Schooley enjoys hunting and fishing and volunteers at numerous community events through National Honor Society.

She plans to attend Gannon University’s biomedical engineering program.

Centro, the daughter of Jane and Roger Wilson, is a member of National Honor Society and senior standing committee.

She is secretary of student council and vice president of the band.

Centro is a member of Bots IQ, SADD, book club and school newspaper. She is an elementary basketball coach. Centro is an alter server at St. Hugh’s Catholic Church and a teen helper at vacation Bible school.

She plans to attend Gannon University to study to become a physician’s assistant.
