Sentence set for DUI
WAYNESBURG – A Morgan Township man who pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, his second DUI offense in 10 years, was sentenced Wednesday by Greene County President Judge Farley Toothman.
Roger Leroy Gray Jr., 38, of 60 Short St., Mather, pleaded guilty Sept. 14, to DUI, driving while his operation privileges were suspended or revoked and 11 traffic violations.
He was pulled over by state police in Jefferson Township on July 5, 2014 for a traffic violation. His blood-alcohol content was 0.136 percent.
Gray was sentenced to nine months in the county intermediate punishment program.
The first 60 days are to be spent on house arrest with GPS and alcohol monitoring bracelet.
He was granted a furlough from house arrest for employment and to care for his ill mother.
He also was fined $2,005 and ordered to perform 50 hours of community service. His probation was transferred to Somerset County.
