WILKINSBURG, Pa. (AP) — Seven Pittsburgh firefighters suffered minor injuries while fighting a house fire Friday morning.

Some of the firefighters were hurt after jumping from the two-story home in neighboring Wilkinsburg. Pittsburgh public safety spokeswoman Sonya Toler says they had to “jump for their lives.” The firefighters were taken to local hospitals.

An 86-year-old woman was rescued from the burning home and also taken to the hospital, where she’s listed in stable condition.

Pittsburgh firefighters cover Wilkinsburg under a contract between the two cities.

The blaze was reported just after 9 a.m.
