PLUM (AP) – The Allegheny County district attorney says a high school teacher charged with having sex with a student should be jailed because he drove slowly by the girl’s home.

The prosecutor said 38-year-old Jason Cooper violated his bond. Cooper has been allowed to remain free on house arrest and ordered to avoid contact with the accuser.

Cooper is one of three male Plum High School faculty members awaiting trial on charges they had relationships with female students.

The DA filed for the bond revocation Wednesday based on a school board member’s report that Cooper drove past the girl’s house Dec. 23.

Cooper’s attorney says his client was in Pittsburgh for part of that day, and he’s trying to determine whether Cooper has an alibi.

A bond revocation hearing is Jan. 14.
