ARNOLD (AP) – An 18-year-old man will stand trial on a homicide charge in the fatal shooting of a western Pennsylvania man after a street fight last month.

Judge Frank Pallone held Erik Lamont Reed Jr. for trial Wednesday in the death of 51-year-old Donald Williams.

Investigators said Williams was involved in a street fight that grew from a few teenage girls to a melee of about 15 people in Arnold. Police said Williams was the father of two of the girls in the fight.

A witness said she saw Williams on top of a man when Reed walked over to them and a shot was fired. Police haven’t recovered the weapon.

In answering a question from Reed’s defense attorney, the witness says she didn’t see him holding the handgun or shooting.
