Police beat Jan. 20
Resisting, disorderly charges: Crystal Marie Bruce, 33, of 849 Henderson Ave., Canton, was charged last week by state police with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after she allegedly grabbed her children as caseworkers with Washington County Children and Youth Services tried to remove them from the house Jan. 5. When the children were being placed in CYS vehicles, she allegedly caused a disturbance and then struggled with police as they tried to take her into custody. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Harassment charge: Richard W. White, 21, of 244 N. Main St., Houston, was charged last week by Chartiers police with harassment after he allegedly sent Facebook and text messages to a woman while she was at a Chartiers residence on Dec. 27. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Assault charge: Russell James Huseman, 52, of Fredericktown, was charged by state police with simple assault and harassment after he allegedly assaulted Britt Alisa Rudiselle, 50, during a confrontation Friday at 517 Buckingham Road, Deemston.
Theft charge: Tara Boidock, 35, of 19 Cummins St., Houston, was charged Sunday by state police with theft and receiving stolen property after Joseph Consonery Jr. reported Boidock took his car without permission. She was placed in Washington County jail Sunday on $2,500 straight bond.
Drug arrest: Anthony James Franell, 30, of 52 Shannon Ave., Washington, was arrested Friday night by North Strabane police after a traffic stop for an equipment violation on Chartiers Street at View Avenue, Strabane. It also was determined that Franell was on federal probation on drug charges. Police said K-9 Drago hit on the pickup truck, and they found a large quantity of marijuana and several pills, including Oxycodone, inside the vehicle. Also found was a spring-assist stiletto knife. Franell was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and having a prohibited offensive weapon. Bond was set at $20,000.
Assault arrest: Kevin Olinger, 57, of 230 Parkwood Circle, Canonsburg, was arrested Friday by McDonald police on charges of simple assault and reckless endangerment. He is accused of assaulting Lisa Crewl earlier this month at 10 Fieldcrest Drive, Robinson. Olinger allegedly hit her multiple times, put his hands around her throat and hit her head against a wall. He was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and placed in Washington County jail on a $5,000 percentage bond.
Guardrail damaged: Bob Good of Good Orthodontics told Washington police Monday that a black sport utility vehicle did $2,000 in damage to a guardrail outside his building in November. He told police that he received video surveillance from a nearby business that shows the rail being hit.
Cellphone stolen: Kristy Cryblshoy of McDonald told Washington police Monday that her Samsung Galaxy cellphone was stolen Monday while she was at the Sunlight Club, 234 E. Maiden St.
Assault charge: Colin Gray, 19, of 59 Griffith Ave., Washington, was charged by state police with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after an alleged altercation with his mother’s boyfriend Monday. According to the report, Gray punched Clyde Stewart in the head and placed him in a headlock. Police observed a large bruise on Stewart’s head and scratches and bruising to Gray’s arm. Gray was placed in Washington County jail on $1,500 bond.
Escape charge: Ronald A. Paith, 35, of Washington, was returned to Washington County jail on Jan. 8 after failing to return from work release Dec. 1. Washington police filed escape charges with District Judge Robert Redlinger Tuesday.
