Four charged with providing false information
South Strabane Township police charged four men Tuesday with providing false information on applications to purchase firearms.
Warren J. Gibson Jr., 35, of Perryopolis and Richard Edward Yanketis Jr., 51, of Prosser Drive, Finleyville, were each charged with providing false information and unsworn falsification while applying to purchase guns last February and July, respectfully, at Field & Stream, 60 Old Mill Boulevard.
Dustin Thomas Songer, 31, Vaneal Road, South Franklin Township, and Nolan James Schneider, Christy Lane, Amwell Township, also face those charges after applying to purchase guns last April and June, respectfully, at Ace Sporting Goods, 462 Washington Road.
The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
