Police beat Jan. 25
Vehicle into creek: A Pennsylvania man’s vehicle came to rest in a creek after he lost control of it while driving east on Hackney Station Road just west of Amity Ridge Road on Wednesday. State police said Barry K. Persichitti, 36, attempted to make a left hand turn on the road that was slippery because of freezing temperatures and snow. They said Persichitti lost control of his vehicle which slid, continued off the road, struck a utility pole and came to rest in a creek while facing southeast. They said Persichitti was not injured. His vehicle was towed from the scene.
Driver cited: Taylor R. Fulterknecht, 26, of Pittsburgh was cited by state police Friday for following too closely after they said her vehicle struck the back of another vehicle driven by a Pittsburgh woman as both were merging onto Southpointe Boulevard off the Southpointe exit of Interstate 79 at mile marker 48. Neither driver was injured, police said.
