Police beat Jan. 28
Assault, drug charges: Robert W. Labossiere, 26, of 425 East St., Canonsburg, is charged by McDonald police with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. He is accused of striking his girlfriend, Lauryn Mockridge, several times in the face about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday at 125 S. McDonald St. He is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Skid steer stolen: A New Holland skid steer was reported stolen between 11:50 p.m. Sunday and 12:20 a.m. Monday from Frontier Environmental, 186 Main St., Hickory, Mt. Pleasant police said. Nearby surveillance video shows a white or light-colored extended-cab pickup truck pull into the lot with a trailer attached. The truck drives out of view and then leaves a short time later with the machine on the trailer, turning east on Main (Route 50). It is a Model 232 with a bucket attachment and had rubber tracks on it at the time of the theft. Anyone who might have seen the vehicle or have information on the theft is asked to call township police at 724-356-7917.
Charged in crash: Christopher Spiker, 26, of 1050 Findlay St., Canton Township, was charged by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol and careless driving after a one-vehicle crash early Sunday on Interstate 79 southbound near the Houston exit, North Strabane.
Stolen weapon: Lawrence J. Madison, 60, of Cardale, Fayette County, is charged by township police with carrying a firearm as a convict, possessing a firearm without a license, theft, theft from motor vehicles, receiving stolen property and loitering, court records show. Police accuse Madison of having a stolen handgun, jewelry, credit cards, coins and other items that had been stolen from vehicles in the area when they pulled over the vehicle he was driving about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday at Maple Lane and Washington Road. He is in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Driver identified: The driver of a car that struck the rear of a school bus Monday in the 700 block of Bebout Road was identified by township police as Stacy Cadman, 23, of Venetia. Cadman sustained facial lacerations and was taken to St. Clair Hospital for treatment. The driver of the bus was Susan Wiltrout, 53, of Eighty Four. Wiltrout and the children on the bus were not injured.
Indecent exposure: A woman told South Strabane police that a man in a white PT Cruiser exposed himself to her in the parking lot outside Kohl’s, Strabane Square, just before noon Tuesday. Police said he is seen on surveillance opening the door and exposing himself as a woman walks past his vehicle.
Car stolen: Jackie Shirley of Broad Street told Washington police Tuesday that her blue, 1987 Buick LeSabre was stolen from a friend’s garage. She had taken the car to a friend to work on, but he called to tell her the car was gone. The car had a white fender on the driver’s side and license JLM-8218. The report did not indicate the location of the garage.
