MANOR, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say speed is believed to have been a factor in a crash that killed a western Pennsylvania couple whose car went off the road, struck some trees and burst into flames.

Officials in Westmoreland County said the accident happened just after 2 a.m. Saturday in Manor Borough. Police Chief George Valmassoni said an officer arrived within minutes to find the car in flames.

The county coroner’s office said the car was heading west on Route 993 at high speed when it crossed the center line and ran off the road.

Coroner Kenneth Bacha said 54-year-old Brenda Braden and 49-year-old Sean Braden of Manor were pronounced dead at the scene.
