Meeting roundup
Date: June 28
Action: Supervisors rejected a final master plan for Magnolia Ridge, a 150-lot subdivision of single-family dwellings on 96 acres on Lindley Road. According to township manager Frank Siffrinn, the state Department of Transportation does not want to place a traffic light at the intersection of Route 19 and Lindley Road, and supervisors are concerned about safety issues there.
Supervisors approved Four Star Pipe and Supply’s final site plan of a 12,400-square-foot office and warehouse building on 10 acres on Route 519.
A grant award agreement between PennDOT and the township was approved in the amount of $70,900. The Green Light-Go program provides matching funds for a system that will allow retrofitting of existing traffic signals with an emergency preemption device. The system allows police, fire and medical personnel responding to an emergency to change a traffic signal as they approach.
Police Officer Matthew Mancini was promoted to sergeant. Mancini will continue to act as the township’s K-9 officer.
Supervisors approved advertising and testing for the hiring of part-time firefighters.
A workshop to discuss the blight and property maintenance ordinance and the proposed oil and gas ordinance will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday. No action will be taken on the ordinances.
Next meeting: 7 p.m. July 19.
