Driver identified: Frank E. Buck, 36, of McDonald, was identified by state police as the driver of the vehicle involved in Monday afternoon’s crash on Interstate 79 northbound, south of the Laboratory exit in Amwell. He was taken to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment.

Garage burglarized: Anthony Vincent Startare of Belle Vernon told state police Sunday tools were stolen from a garage at 251 South St., Centerville.

Teen hit: Willis Parkinson, 13, of Chartiers, told Chartiers police Friday he was struck by a black pickup truck while riding his bicycle at Washington County Fairgrounds. He told police the driver, a balding white man with no shirt, stopped briefly, telling the boy he was sorry and the brakes on his truck did not work. The boy told police he was sore. The wheels on his bicycle were damaged.

Assault arrest: Amber Marie Simpkins, 28, of Houston, was arrested Tuesday morning by Chartiers police on two counts of harassment and one count of simple assault. Police were called twice in less than an hour to 315 Front St. She is accused of assaulting Gregory Stevens. She was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.

Jewelry stolen: Maxine and Robert Steiner of 185 Barnickle St. told Chartiers police Tuesday jewelry was stolen from their home.

Earrings stolen: Randy Bell of 700 N. Main St. told Chartiers police Saturday $240 and two diamond earrings were stolen from his home.

Driver charged: Richard C. Loar, 51, of 4186 Route 40 West, Claysville, was charged Thursday by Donegal police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and disorderly conduct after he allegedly made obscene gestures to a Claysville woman as they drove on Route 40, Claysville, June 28. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.

Woman charged: Sarra D. Ealy, 24, of 35 Poverty Point Road, Claysville, was charged Thursday by Donegal police with theft by deception after she allegedly got another woman to use her bank to cash two checks that reportedly were stolen. The other woman told police she was not aware the checks were stolen. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.

House burglarized: Candace L. Byers of 48 Barcelona Riverview Road, Dunlevy, told state police Thursday a bed and box spring were stolen from her home.

Theft charge: Alishia M. McKnight, 26, of 221 S. College St., Washington, was charged last week with theft by North Franklin police after she allegedly stole money while working at Hog Father’s, Washington Crown Center, through unauthorized voids at the register. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Paraphernalia charge: Brian K. Miller, 25, of 200 Baltimore Ave., was charged Tuesday by North Franklin police with possession of paraphernalia after he allegedly had syringes and empty stamp bags at his home.

Pump damaged: An air pump was damaged Sunday at the 7-Eleven, 1360 W. Chestnut St., North Franklin police said.

Account accessed: Barbara Sanford of Washington told Washington police Tuesday information from her bank card was accessed and used to withdraw money from an automated teller machine in Washington, D.C., over the last month. Sanford told police the card was still in her possession.

Warrant obtained: State police obtained an arrest warrant last week for Marie Boger, 46, of Labelle, on charges of burglary and theft. She is accused of stealing a television last month from the home of Daniel Boger Sr., 239 Middle St., West Brownsville. The television was returned, but Marie Boger was caught trying to steal another television, police said. The warrant was obtained from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
