South Franklin woman waives wiretapping charges
A South Franklin Township woman charged by state police with wiretapping waived her case to court Tuesday.
Amanda N. Klages, 29, of 228 Old Scales Road, is accused of recording telephone conversations with a secretary at Joe Walker Elementary School in the McGuffey School District and an elementary guidance counselor without their permission on April 8. Klages then reportedly posted a video of the conversation on Facebook.
Klages had been scheduled for a preliminary hearing before District Judge Ethan Ward. She is free on $25,000 unsecured bond. Klages is expected to be placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for 18 months.
