Home of ‘Silence of the Lambs’ killer sold
LAYTON, Pa. (AP) — The western Pennsylvania house used in the film “The Silence of the Lambs” has been sold.
Dianne Wilk, a real estate agent for the homeowners, said the Layton home, about 28 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, sold last week for $195,000.
The building was home to psychotic killer Buffalo Bill in the 1991 film.
Scott and Barbara Lloyd listed the three-story Victorian home for sale last summer for $300,000.
Wilk says the home’s owners, Scott and Barbara Lloyd, felt the movie may have improved its value.
She declined to name the buyer, who prefers to maintain a low profile, but says he was interested in the home because it had been in the film.
