Cornerstone Genealogical Society of Greene County will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. today at the old log courthouse on Greene Street. This month’s speaker is Observer-Reporter Greene County Bureau Chief Mike Jones. He will be discussing the evolution of newspapers over the years. The meeting is free and open to the public.

Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Authority will be flushing hydrants in Center, Gray and Richhill townships, Deemston and Waynesburg boroughs and in Nemacolin. The process began Monday and will continue through the month of July. Customers in those areas may experience a temporary drop in pressure, loss of pressure or discolored water.

Jamie Szepesi will speak at 11:15 a.m. Sunday at Rogersville United Methodist Church and give a presentation about her mission trips to Africa in which she helped to provide educational opportunities for children. A covered dish dinner will follow and the public is invited to attend. For more information, call 724-499-5590.
