According to Bethel Park police reports, the victim, a 17-year-old juvenile male, was struck as he was crossing the intersection on foot about 6:30 p.m. Police said the driver of the vehicle drove a short distance and pulled into the parking lot of National Tire and Battery, 2400 South Park Road. The driver of the vehicle has been detained.

Police declined to release the name of the victim or the name of the driver. The incident remains under investigation.
