PennDOT weekly work schedule

The state Department of Transportation announced the tentative work schedule for Greene County roads for the week of July 18.

Maintenance activities are conducted weather-permitting. Motorists should drive with caution through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights, said Greene County maintenance manager Jerry Simkovic.

• Bridge replacement work will be conducted on Route 1021 in Cumberland Township.

• Bridge flushing will be done on various routes in the eastern half of the county.

• Wash out and base repair will be done on Route 2009 and Route 19 in Springhill, Aleppo and Center townships.

• Base and drainage repairs will be completed on various routes in Cumberland and Perry townships.

• Inlet cleaning will be conducted on Route 2017 in Cumberland Township.

• Slide repair work will be done on Route 3014 in Wayne Township.

• Pipe repairs will be done on Route 3005 in Springhill and Aleppo townships.

• Shoulder cutting will be completed on Route 4006 in Center Township.

• Secondary roadway mowing will be conducted on various routes in the county.

• Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county.

PennDOT has a 24-hour toll free number for residents to call to report any road maintenance concerns. This number can also be used to report dead deer on state highways. The number is 1-800-FIX-ROAD (1-800-349-7623).
