Charged in assault: Kaitlyn M. Vernet, 18, of 316 Thompson Ave., and Alexis L. Hayes, 19, of 212 McKee Ave., both of Monessen, and Baylee E. Allen, 19, of 1123 Old National Pike, Fredericktown, are charged by Charleroi Regional police with simple assault, conspiracy, harassment and disorderly conduct, court records show. Police accuse them, along with a female juvenile, of assaulting another woman about 12:40 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of Fifth Street. They will receive the charges by summons from District Judge Larry Hopkins.

False reports alleged: Marcus Roach, 41, of 636 Highland Ave., Donora, is charged by borough police with making a false report to law enforcement over accusations he told an officer his landlord spit on him about 1:30 p.m. July 14 outside the police station at 601 Meldon Ave., court records show. Police reviewed video surveillance at that location, and it allegedly showed Roach to be the aggressor. Roach will receive the charge in a summons from District Judge Mark Wilson.

Assault charge: Hanover Township police charged Cagney A. Springer, 27, of 322 Second St., Wellsville, Ohio, with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct Wednesday for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend at First Niagara Pavilion. Police said Springer pulled his girlfriend’s hair, shoved and kicked her. Springer was arraigned by District Judge James Ellis and jailed on $1,000 bond. Springer has a preliminary hearing at 1 p.m. Aug. 2 before District Judge Gary Havelka.

Charged with assault: Derrick Dixon, 28, of 1101 Park Manor Road, Monessen, is charged by city police with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct over accusations he struck and kicked Shayna Arnold several times about 11:30 p.m. Monday outside his residence, court records show.

PFA violation alleged: Michael Denillo, 47, of 1808 Baldauf St., Pittsburgh, was arrested Tuesday by Monongahela police for allegedly violating a protection-from-abuse order taken out against him by his wife, Tracy Denillo, of 315 Fifth St., Monongahela. Michael Denillo was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and jailed on $2,500 bond. Denillo has a preliminary hearing at 1 p.m. Aug. 3 before District Judge Mark Wilson.

Wallet, purse stolen: Carol O’Brien of Lakeview Drive, Washington, told North Franklin police Sunday her vehicle was broken into and her Kate Spade purse containing a Kate Spade wallet, credit cards and $250 in assorted gift cards was stolen.

Gun found: An employee at Day’s Inn, 1370 W. Chestnut St., told North Franklin police Sunday a handgun in a holster was found under a pillow in one of the rooms. Police contacted the renter of the room about the Smith & Wesson, .380-caliber handgun. The Goldsboro, N.C., woman told police the gun belonged to her brother, and they were not sure if they were returning to get it. Police told her proof of ownership was needed to retrieve it.

Assault alleged: Bralee N. Quigley, 20, of 303 Mathews Road, Rostraver Apartments, Rostraver Township, is charged by township police with simple assault and harassment over allegations she struck her sister, Briya Smith, in the face about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the apartment complex, court records show.
