DARLINGTON (AP) – A prosecutor said a Western Pennsylvania man fatally shot his wife before killing himself.

The Beaver County coroner identified the victims as Duane and Sonya Myers, who were both 45 years old.

Darlington Township police found the couple dead in their home after receiving a call about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday Duane Myers did not show up for work.

District Attorney David Lozier says the couple lived together and had a “fully functioning family.” The couple has three adult children.

Lozier says authorities believe the shootings took place several hours earlier Tuesday, when the couple would have been home alone.

Lozier says there was no note left behind, but the evidence clearly points to murder-suicide.
